WHERE THE LOVE IS LIVED OUT
Our vision is to assist low-income and homeless people in Santa Clara County by providing food, basic life necessities, and job training resources in a loving and supportive environment.
Reaching Out food distribution: Wednesdays & Thursdays from 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
COVID-19 AND HOW YOU CAN HELP
With the recent coronavirus pandemic, many families are struggling to purchase groceries. At Reaching Out, we are grateful to live out the love of Jesus by blessing struggling families with groceries. We are taking extra measures to do our best to ensure the safety of our staff, volunteers, and the handling of groceries. Some of those measures include wearing gloves, practicing social distancing, drive-thru food distribution, and more.
Special thanks to our sponsors, partners, and people like you, who generously and thoughtfully give of their time and resources to ensure that no family goes hungry in the South Bay.

When Pastor Kenny Foreman prayed the Prayer of Dedication at the Cathedral of Faith, part of it consisted of these words –
“Help us to care about people no one cares about;
Help us to hear the cry no one else is hearing;
Help us to see the hurt no one else is noticing.”

TESTIMONIALS
I used to be on the other side of the counter receiving food, now I am on this side giving out food. What a joy it is to serve here at Reaching Out.
I was so down the day I showed up at Reaching Out. I was living in my car with my 3 kids and really was scared. The people at Reaching Out gave me places I could go with my children that were safe and warm. Three months later I am getting into my own apartment and have a job and I am thriving. If it wasn’t for the friendly folks at Reaching Out I don’t know where I would be.
I was homeless and never thought I would be in a line getting food especially on my birthday but when the Reaching Out volunteers heard it was my birthday they gave me a cake with my name on it… Wow the worst day became the best day Thanks to Reaching Out…..
The fresh vegetables blow me away. Whoever thought that a Food Pantry would give us so much. In one trip I received corn, cabbage, potatoes, onions, turnips, apples, oranges, strawberries, celery and carrots. That’s 10 veggies that were fresh. They even gave me recipes to help me cook them properly. Our community is so blessed to have Reaching Out.
Wow I thought I was going to get (just a bag of groceries) and I got sooooooo much more. I got meat, eggs, bread, snacks for my children’s lunch, and a whole lot of smiles and encouragement. They even took my groceries to my car. I didn’t know that kindness could feel that good.
I have volunteered at Reaching Out for over 25 years and have never tired of loving people and lending a hand. No one can believe I am 86 years young and still going strong. I think it keeps me young.
